Let’s gather around the red-checked tables, under the fishing nets strung across the ceiling at Parada Maimón, and enjoy some Dominican cuisine! Let’s celebrate the diversity of our city and of our country. Let’s counter the hateful and fearful conversation coming from our federal government about immigrants, in contradiction to all studies that show immigrants are an enormous asset to the U.S. and to us. As we know, in this country we are all immigrants.
